medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

I do. I believe that sex with a married person, not one's spouse, is
adultery regardless of the state in life of the person having sex with the
married person. But I don't have the history of the definition of adultery
in my head and none of the professional theologians on the list has weighed
in. Dennis Martin would probably know but he, unfortunately, has left the
list. Perhaps I'll write and see what he has to say on the subject although
I doubt he'll change any made-up minds.
