Of course the Crystal Palace- due to prints and a million school books
(before schools only taught the rise of Nazism -in endless cycle)- is
one of the iconic images of Victorian Britain. The twin towers of New
York will presumably live on in the imagination due to photographs, old
episodes of Kojak and Woody Allan's Manhattan. I have yet to see Rome
but my images based on Fellini will no doubt be rudely shattered.
