Dear All,
We keep monthly stats for electronic resources like web pages, use of
databases, use of our ICT skill children's games. It was always difficult
to see how they could be compared when we were being asked, as definitions
of what and how to record were not sufficiently developed.
Our library web page index gets about 2,100 per month, total library web
pages about 15,000 pm.
Children's games get 3-4000 uses a month
Population 136,000

It's always difficult to measure as different software measures different
things, which I believe is why it dropped out of the Public Library
Standards. We have 16 libraries, a population of 250 000, and had 650
visits to our home page in October 2005. We use Webtrends analysis
software.

Subject: Library Websites
Hi all
I'm looking at use of our library website and wondered if anyone out there
keeps details of number of visits to their sites so that we can benchmark it
against use elsewhere? Visits to the home page would be sufficient, anything
more would be a bonus. Our site is www.foursite.somerset.gov.uk which is the
catalogue and online services of the 4 authorities currently in the
consortium - each of the 4 also has library pages on their corporate
websites. We had 31,374 visits in October. Any data gratefully received!
Many thanks
