Wet day centres in Britain part 1
There are only nine, but soon there could be more - centres which offer street drinkers a
place where they can start to reverse years of deterioration without having first to stop
drinking. It makes sense for them and for the locality, but holding such services together
is a major task. Maureen Crane and Tony Warnes of the University of Sheffield provide
guidance solidly based on a detailed analysis of existing provision.
