medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
He might find some good references and also visual images in Jaroslav
Pelikan's *Jesus through the Centuries*.
The early Middle Ages isn't my period, but it seems to me that the
famous Anglo-Saxon poem "The Dream of the Rood" emphasizes Christ's
divinity, and so do its Latin sources [which are undoubtedly also
available in translation, and probably anthologized in collections for
students of Anglo-Saxon literature].
