I'm not sure what you are trying to say. Wolsey demolished three bays of
the nave (to make way for his college buildings), and was preparing to
demolish the rest, and the south transept, as his new chapel was being
built, all the while using the chancel as the temporary chapel. Afterwards,
the new deans had to patch up what was left as best they could.

Not really - one could argue that Dorchester was the original of either
