medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hi Everyone. I am interested in a text attributed by Mabillon to Gerbert
of Aurillac; the title in the Analecta, and in the Patrologia edition, is
"Sermo de informatione episcoporum." Is anyone out there an expert on
Gerbert? If so, could you confirm for me that this text really is his? If
not, is anything known about its provenance. I've drawn a blank in the
usual places.
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
