medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
After (and in reaction to) a discussion with one of my colleagues, I'd like
to 'use' the knowledge of 'the List' - I hope one of you can help me with
the following: is anyone of you familiar with a medieval annual agenda (or
list) of churches in Rome, with all the church masses and the church they
were held in on it? What I mean: is it true, that every year, (for example)
the Easter Mass was in the Santa Maria Maggiore every year? And so further:
was the Christmas Mass every year in the same church, Whitsun, Ascension,
... ? Or (/and) were all these masses held every year in every church?
Thank you, in advance.
