The Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow are seeking a post-dictoral
Research Fellow to study Geology of CO2 Sequestration, Storage, Leakage
and Injection£20,044 – £25,633
This is a joint project between the University of Edinburgh School of
GeoSciences, Institute of Earth Sciences (Prof Stuart Haszeldine) , and
Glasgow University Department of Earth Sciences (Dr Zoe Shipton). You
will work with the Geological Storage of Carbon Dioxide to investigate
controls on future leakage from engineered CO2 storage sites beneath the
UK landmass, Irish and North Sea. Aspects examined will be: overburden,
fault seal, and fluid injection, using flow-modelling and field
studies.You will be a highly-motivated and self-directed person with a
PhD in a relevant subject, a publication record, and experience in
subsurface petroleum or fluid geoscience, petrography and geochemistry of
