Just heard a news piece and interviews about the alleged map thefts
in Mass. and London on the CBC Radio (which has national rather than
regional coverage at this time of the day due to a labour dispute).
Louis Cardinal of National Archives, Canada was interviewed about the
disappearance of the Frobisher map from the BL. There appear to be no
such maps missing from the National Collection in Ottawa.
The news piece was carried at about 8.05 a.m. Thursday 15th, for
those who will be listening in other time zones in Canada. (On the
East coast we are the first to hear these programs of course, which
are then carried at the same local time in successive time zones
across the country.)
