medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Project Gutenberg has mounted an HTML edition of _Old St. Paul's
Cathedral_ by William Benham (London: Seeley, & NY: Macmillan, 1902),
and there is also a plaintext edition. Index page at
http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/16531 Pity, though, that the notable
illustrations--a floor plan, John of Gaunt's tomb, Paul's Walk, St.
Faith's in the crypt, and more--are not higher resolution. Even a
magnifying lens utility can't make the floor plan legible. I am still
apt to celebrate useful online resources, even if deficient.
Cheers,
Al Magary
