RIGHTS CLEARANCES, TRACING RIGHTS HOLDERS AND RISK MANAGEMENT
12 OCTOBER 2005, LONDON
In the light of the necessity to respect third party rights and recent more stringent copyright legislation, it has never been more important to devise effective strategies for clearing rights.
This workshop will draw upon practical examples and best practice to ensure that participants are provided with the fundamental tools to help develop and enhance their own rights clearance strategies. The workshop will also identify key areas needed for the successful negotiation of licences with rights holders and provide participants with tips for locating rights holders if they prove hard to find. Finally, the workshop will conclude by discussing the merits of devising policies for assessing risk.
Using a lively presentation style, the trainer encourages active participation in a relaxed and friendly learning environment.
