Hello,
I'd like to know how libraries arrange their printed music collections,
such as opera scores, apart from using Dewey. We are considering
changing from Dewey to a shelf order which our customers and staff
may find easier to use.
Do you arrange printed music by genre e.g. classical or by instrument
e.g guitar arrangement of pop songs?
Have you considered subject categorisation instead of Dewey?
I will summarise replies for the list.
Best wishes,
Colin Duncan
