Sorry, but I have to disagree. Please, if you don't like "my"
exegesis, then do a little scientific experience (i.e. a reproductible
laboratory experience).
1) go to a marriage and tell the bride she will soon have a
child. Then look for her answer. If she answers: "how could it
be, as I don't know a man?" I could consider that you are may be
right
2) Go in a nuns monastery and tell a sister she will soon have a
child. Look what she answers. If she answers "yes, I know", then
we can have some doubts about her vows.
3) Repeat this experience as many times you wish.

Explain me why, or better: explain me why Mary said what she
said. It is not exegesis, it is understanding the meaning of words
and not the meaning of what we wish the words should mean.
