medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear all,
I'm looking for basic information on the (medieval) history of the Abbey of
Saint Germain des Prés in Paris. I'm not so much interested in the abbey as
a building (or the glass, or the doors, etc.), but the abbey as an
institution. I've done basic searches in the various catalogues and I can't
seem to find what must exist. One of those excellent 19th century
instutional treatments would great. Anyhow, does any body know of anything?
(I'm primarily interested in the 13-14th centuries and its relationship to
the Capetians, and its relationship to other monasteries, in particular
St.-Denis and Ste.-Genevieve).
Many thanks in advance,
cecilia
