medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hi, Diana
Your URL for that church in Murano exceeded normal line length and,
because of the wrap, will have to be rebuilt in many readers' browsers
if they wish to access that location.
Putting it through the "handle" maker at www.tinyurl.com, I got:
http://tinyurl.com/bu8v8
Ca' Farsetti: I found an o.k. picture of this (it's on the right; Ca'
Loredan on the left):
http://www.italie1.com/venetie/loredan2.htm
What's the date? 13th cent.?
Theresa's original query specified naves (which made the parallels from
cylindrical buildings less than fully satisfactory) and explicitly
excluded occurrences in cloisters. So I would guess that these also
smaller occurrences probably do not fit.
Best,
John
