And,
Isn't Petroc (or Petrox) one of the Celtic lads who sailed on a millwheel
?
I have always suspected that the source was this legend is a
misunderstanding of a drawing - or an account - of sailing in a coracle -
which is a circular boat much used inshore around the Celtic coastline.
