apologies for cross posting
Greetings
I am trying to track libraries who are using WiFi in the delivery of
reference services for example using wireless telephony to provide a
roving reference service either through connecting staff to each other
or staff with pdas providing assistance to library users. So far I
have the new central Seattle Public Library, the central public library
at Cerritos, and
some use at Kings County Public Library. I am not necessarily looking
for public library examples, but they are the ones which are coming
forward. I also have a few small US public libraries and a US
university who are using WiFi the way I am looking for.
I was wondering if you knew of any UK libraries who are using
theirwireless networks for a more mobile reference service.
I am trying to track down examples of libraries that have expanded
their reference service, or have altered how they provide it through
the use of WiFi. We do not yet have local examples to refer to.
Yours sincerely
