Hi Ros,
Just a ha'pennny thought ... I can't recall what the "genre" of info is
called, but "wikpedia" is of the ilk ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HomePage?HomePage ... i.e. an "anyone" can
contribute information source.
If sheer workload is also a sustainability issue, what about if somehow what
you're trying to sustain could be webmounted on that basis so that "anyone"
could contribute? Consistency just might follow if enough knowledgeable folk
contribute ... though in theory it could become a bit of a shambles.

Subject: Fiction/genre classification
Some time ago I posted a message asking for information about fiction
categorisation and and received a number of really useful replies. We have
now been running with it for over a year and I wonder if anyone has any
ideas about how to maintain consistency without it becoming very
time-consuming. We set up a database of authors but with so many authors
now writing in more than one genre, this has become very unwieldy and I am
not really sure if it is really sustainable over a long period. Any ideas,
experiences (good or bad) welcome..
Thanks
Ros
