Hello Paul,
The LLDA commissioned a report by Book Marketing on public library reading
groups in 2001. It's obviously a little out of date now but still available.
If you'd like to buy a copy, please contact Ed Dyson at the LLDA at

Subject: Library-based reading groups for adults
Has anyone done any qualitative evaluation of reading groups?
I'm particulary interested in ways we can link this to the aims of
Framework for the Future in a arresting & convincing way. Perhaps this is
because we are not running our reading group in an imaginative way. Any
tips on that?!
