Kloster Schönau is not particularly close to Bonn. It's in the western
part of the Taunus (the range of hills between the Main and the Lahn in
western Hessen) outside a village called Strüth. Conventionally said to
be "near Sankt Goarshausen", it's about halfway between Sankt
Goarshausen and Bad Schwalbach (but not on a direct road from either).
That may be meaningful if you've lived in or near those parts (as I
have); in terms of places more people have heard of, it's about halfway
between Koblenz and Wiesbaden. And rather isolated even now.
No longer a monastic institution, the convent is now a Catholic
residence for families. Here's a view showing the early
fifteenth-century choir of its church (most of the older structures fell
victim to a fire in the early eighteenth century):
