We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and experienced candidate to
teach in the area of International Social Policy. She or he will contribute
to the Social and Policy Studies Undergraduate Scheme and Postgraduate
Programme. The candidate should have expertise in comparative social
policy, and an interest in the influence of globalisation on social policy
development would also be desirable. The candidate will be expected to
contribute to course development and administration. The candidate should
have a proven research record and will have opportunities to develop new
teaching units, which reflect their research interests. London South Bank
University has a very diverse student population, thus the candidate should
have a commitment to teaching students from diverse backgrounds. For
candidates with limited teaching experience, the Department will support
their enrolment on the Postgraduate Certificate of Teaching in Higher
