New York Public Library Places Digital Images Online
The NYPL's vast collection of digitial images is now available to everyone.
This searchable, browsable image gallery includes historical maps, portraits
of historical figures, illuminated medieval manuscripts, posters, photos of
buildings, and much, much more. Currently, the collection numbers about
275,000 images, a number that will grow as the Library continues to digitize
its collection.
The NYPL has made these images available for free for your own personal,
not-for-profit use. Please be sure to check out their conditions of use
before using these images.
