Hi,
I don't know if this has appeared before but I couldn't see anything in the
archives.
Currently our learning centre equipment gets a thorough clean once a week
but I was approached by a member of staff that had recently sufferred from
an eye infection (they were not claiming to have caught anything off the
computers but felt touching dirty equipment and then their face could cause
some element of cross contaminaton). This has set me wondering, are there
any "industry" guidelines on how often computer equipment should be
cleaned? How often do other people clean their IT equipment?
In our local NHS Trust each patient has access to a private, pay as you go
telephone and TV station from their bed and these are only cleaned once a
week. If this is good enough for a hospital should once a week be good
enough for a library?
Thanks in advance
