medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Dear Fellow Listmembers
Can someone help me, please, to choose an appropriate way of
interpreting the phrase 'socratissima puella', used in a sixth-century
Western hagiographic text. Are we meant to see a young woman who gained
great wisdom by trading questions and answers with her mentor?
Best wishes
Graham
