Dear Dr. Dávila:
Any overthrust ophiolitic belt involves serpentinite as an important
part of the sole of the thrust complex. The huge areas of "coloured
melange" in the region stretching from western Turkey to Afghanistan
are also places to look. For example the Izmir-Erzincan suture belt
in Turkey.
Many of the melange units within the Franciscan of Northern
California are also serpentinite matrix.
Happy hunting,
Eldridge Moores
