Akira,
Unfortunately I do not have any way of calling people, so
everyone would need to dial into a central number, which
in the case of Japan is both inconvenient (i.e., 6am) and
unusually expensive (in my experience, several times more
expensive than from other countries).
Alternatively, I have successfully experimented with Skype
(http://www.skype.com/) and, if others can confirm that this
is a viable alternative for conference calls, would be willing
to give this a try. (Skype is a free Voice-over-IP system
-- you download a client from the Web and install, plug a
microphone headset into your USB port, configure a username,
and make a call.)
Akira, Skype would not solve your problem unless you happen
to have high-speed Internet access at home.
Ideas welcome...
Tom
