You simply copy them over. So you as the Team Leader have the board from
the moment the alert is received or the call is put out. Write the time
the call was received and the details phoned or radioed through. When
the patient arrives and you have had handover the paramedic/BASICS
doctor writes their data on the chart. You then write the primary
survey, and then the secondary survey as it is called out by the
examining doctor. This allows you to prompt, think, arrange other
things, keep an eye on the patient and generally run the call.
Afterwards, your clerking is all done and you simply copy it,
measurement of wounds, CT findings, times of drug admin etc to the
paperwork. The original can be taken down and used in teaching in the
seminar room.
