Hi all
Could anyone out there help me?
I am looking for femoral and humeral shaft diameters and
circumferences of Alces alces (European moose/elk) and associated body
weights, lean, if possible. If no body weights not to worry. I would
really appreciate a source (citation) that I can lay my hands on handy
enough or if someone knows, off the top of their heads like that would
be even better.
Am working with mass allometry models on these measurements at
present, and need to anchor the upper bit the curve/line, Cervus
elaphus is as big as I have at present. Am using these for
extrapolation to a larger extinct deer species and we all know the
associative problems to do with such an exercise.
I would really appreciate a quick reply, as am heading towards a PhD
submission deadline in 2 weeks! I know ye can be quick out there, and
there are so many of ye, hopefully someone can help me out!
Looking forward to your replies, and thank you very much.
Kind regards
Ruth
