Hello Gianni and other zooarchers,
I was hunting the archives for information on early castration of
domestic animals and found this query from Gianni, but no replies. I
am sure there was a response, but probably off-list. My actual query
was what is the the earliest evidence - archaeological or pictorial, of
castration in domestic animals? This comes from a question I was asked
and couldn't answer. Maybe someone can help.
Thanks in advance

castration
Dear Zooarchers, I wonder if someone could help me to find when and
where it is possible to see the first supposed evidences of cattle
castration in the Near East? As for me, I can send you one of the first
evidence of "merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year 2005" Thank you in
advance Ciao Gianni Siracusano
