Bursary in Bioarchaeology
The Fitch Laboratory is offering a bursary to support bioarchaeological research
at the British School at Athens. The Environmental Unit of the Fitch Laboratory
houses modern reference collections for archaeobotanical and zooarchaeological
research, together with work space, microscopes and computing facilities. The
successful applicant will be expected to use the facilities of the Fitch
Laboratory to further on-going bioarchaeological research related to Greece or
Cyprus. In addition to a bursary of €1400, the successful applicant will be
eligible for 3 months’ free accommodation in the Hostel of the British School
at Athens (applicable only for the period October-December 2005).
Applicants should send a CV, the names and addresses of two referees, a covering
letter that includes a brief description of the proposed project (including
aims, methods, materials and schedule), and copies of any required permits for
study and transfer to the Fitch Laboratory of bioarchaeological samples, by
post or email, to:
