I would strongly advice not to use the adult template since your data
will be severely confounded this way. Instead, try using a pediatric
template, either fomr yourr own subjects (if you have a suficiently
large group) or using a third-party pediatric template, e.g. from
www.irc.cchmc.org (follow the software link to the pediatric template
collection). There are also a number of papers there that try to address
different aspects of this issue.
BTW, there is only structural imaging data there, but if you have T1's
or something similar, this might help anyway.
