In response to Paul's "how recent?" question - 5 or 10 years though if
items are recalled from before that time I guess they must have been
important and hence worthy of a mention!

How recent?
I was fascinated to find out in an old NOMIS manual that we used to have
registrant unemployment counted by ethnicity - under the old registrant
count.
As of now, Jobcentre Plus does obtain ethnicity codings for all claimants,
but there seems to be some problem in publishing this information in
relation to the claimant count. We do have it for the ILO unemployment
definition, but figures for local authorities are limited to the annual
Local Area LFS
It would be very useful to have monthly claimant count figures by
ethnicity, with all the geographic and age/duration NOMIS measures
available.
