Hi List,
I am science communicator who several years ago "crossed over" to doing
research myself.
I was wondering if list members could suggest ways I might get publicity to
attract participants to take part in a study I am doing on the psychology of
advice. The problem is that it is a bit of a thin story because I can't give
away much information about the aim of the study. If participants know what
my aim is it will inevitably prejudice their response.
What I can say is that I am looking at how the advice people give is
influenced by difference situations. Participants in the study have a passive
role play task to complete on the Internet. I don't need a representative
sample of the population - just people willing and able to do the task.
I'd be delighted too if all of you would consider being a participant and
passing on the webaddress of the study site to your friends and collegues.
The address is:

And I'd be grateful for any advice you can give on attracting participants.
