Well now, how much of this do I argue with? I'd already intended to
challenge you on that bit of an Oz-swipe -- personally, I enjoy the chance
to tune in to what's going on in different countries. (He's just come
downstairs, read this over my shoulder, and said that it wasn't an Oz-swipe.
I'm also involved with a women's writing/performing/publishing group of
around a dozen women in the Darlington area of NE England
www.vanewomen.co.uk and also with a nationwide organisation, Second Light
Network, which was set up 10 years ago to address the fact that many women
in this country at least don't begin writing until they get into their 40s
and 50s and the family is off their hands. None of this is on-line stuff
though, so probably will not be of help to Sue.
And by the way, Sue -- welcome from me too.

Yeah, I've been here long enough to know that Alison. Just seems that every
new voice is from Oz lately, not a bad thing of course.
Quick resumé for Sue:
I run a small UK poetry press, fourth year this year. As I decided that
everyone elses poetry is better than mine it seemed the best thing to do was
to publish the good stuff and stop writing my rubbish. My Better Half and
Poetry Editor, Joanna Boulter is also on this list.
