Guess you have no TV, Ken. C and J-C have been saying over and over
(in a very friendly, explanatory sort of way, of course) that there's no point
or purpose to it. Fine by me.
Hal, who was moved by the size and expanse also, but also by how many
moods saffron has, by the play of wind and fabric, by the vistas that changed
and shifted with every step he took, by how the display changed character
depending on the hour, the day, the weather, by that group of blind people
entering the park not long after he did, especially by the one who was helped
up a step to stretch up to touch the fabric, and who (on Saturday) was moved
by the crowds of pilgrims drawn to the park to see some part of it before its
last day came, every third pilgrim a critic
