Science and scientific processes do not "exclude the human".
They *distinguish the observer*, which may or may not be human.
The scientific method *includes* the observer/scientist very explicitly
in that it has alot to say about controlling the *influence* that the
observer/scientist has on the experiment/subject.
Since the observer/scientist may influence the experiment/subject, the
scientific method seeks to *account* (not necessarily control) those
influences, so that one may then study and quantify other effects
besides those of the observer/scientist.
