Dear all,
The editor and board of British Postgraduate Musicology are very pleased
to announce the publication of Volume 7 of the journal. The new issue
includes articles by Yifat Fellner Simpson, Graham Griffiths, Kenneth
Smith and Carla Whalen, and covers such topics as the sixteenth-century
herculana, the role of Stravinsky's piano fingering in his compositional
practice, eroticism in Scriabin's Fourth Piano Sonata, and 'abject
tonality' in Berg's Altenberglieder. As always, the complete volume is
available for free at www.bpmonline.org.uk, along with online back issues
to 2001. We hope you find it of interest.
BPM is an independent, peer-reviewed journal run by postgraduates for
postgraduates. It aims to publish high-quality examples of work from the
British postgraduate community, and provide a valuable experience of
peer-reviewed publication to student musicologists. Current postgraduates
based in Great Britain who wish to contribute to the next volume of BPM
should consult www.bpmonline.org.uk/contribute.html for more information.
With best wishes,
Tim Rutherford-Johnson and the editorial board
