RILM UK Co-ordinator (Fixed-term, part-time)
Applications are invited for the above post, in the UK office of RILM
(Repertoire International de Litterature Musicale) based within the
Department of Music at the University of Nottingham. This project is
funded by a grant from the Arts and Humanities Research Board, intended to
build on the work of a previous period of funding (1999-2004), and will
run for three years. Duties will include monitoring and compiling
information on all new UK publications on music, addressing the backlog of
materials not yet included on the database, and liaising with authors and
publishers.
Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in musicology with experience of
research in this field as well as an interest in bibliography.
Candidates must also possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Salary will be within the range GBP19,460 - GBP24,820 per annum, pro rata,
depending on qualifications and experience. Hours of work are 18 per
week, distribution to be agreed. This AHRB funded post is available from
1 March 2005 or as soon as possible thereafter and will be offered on a
fixed-term contract for a period of three years. The Department is
pursuing authorisation from the University to convert this to a full-time
position from August 2005 in order to offer the person appointed teaching
opportunities.
