Theoretical investigation of positron annihilation in molecules
Applications are invited for an EPSRC-funded post-doctoral research
position to work in the group of Prof Jonathan Tennyson. The
successful applicant will be an energetic individual with a strong
academic record and specific experience in the area of
theoretical/computational chemistry or molecular physics, who has
recently completed a relevant PhD in Physics, Chemistry or a closely
related discipline. Good computation skills and interest in program
development are desirable. The project is the flagship project of UK
Collaborative Computational Project 2 (CCP2) and will be performed
with Prof Jonathan Tennyson and Prof Edward Armour (University of
Nottingham). The successful candidate will also act as secretary for
CCP2.
The post is available for up to 3-years, with initial appointment for
a year. Appointment will be made on the lower end of the salary range - RA1A
21,640 to 29,128 pounds per annum according to age and
experience, with an additional London allowance of 2,330 pounds p.a.
