Unfortunately, I have to report the same pattern of response on both the
questions I brought up:
1. second source for flashlamps for Quantel Brilliant B Nd:YAG
There were roughly a half dozen requests that I please communicate anything
I found out here, but no one has reported any success. I have several
reports of people who have actually sent old Brilliant B flashlamps to
Kentek for examination, but in the absence of further data Kentek made no
headway.
2. sources of replacement parts for old Quantel/Continuum lasers such as
the YG681
A handful of US respondents have reported the experience of very high
prices and very little in the way of parts from Continuum; they would be
most interested in hearing about any useful leads here. Is the experience
in Europe with Quantel any better?
