REFLECTIVE PRACTICE FOR INFORMATION AND LIBRARY STAFF
12 January 2006, London
The ability to reflect on activity and learn from the experience adds purpose and meaning to the way we work. This workshop allows participants to explore approaches to reflective practice.
BENEFITS OF ATTENDING
Participants will gain a practical insight into reflection and reflective practice that will enable them to develop a greater awareness of their capability for applying the changes both to personal development and in the workplace.
By the end of the day participants will:
· examine and have practised techniques for reflection
· identify the personal and organisational benefits of using reflection
· review the relationship between reflection and learning in the work context
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
Anyone who wants to learn about and apply these techniques.
SPECIAL NOTES
All sessions require a high level of involvement and participation.
WORKSHOP LEADER: KEITH V. TRICKEY
Keith is a part time Senior Lecturer at Liverpool John Moores University. He first started using and teaching reflection over ten years ago. Keith uses reflection as a method for noticing personal development and allowing those gains to be consolidated into his professional and personal activities. He teaches it at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and uses it in his coaching work.
