Hi
We think the problem is with the host configuration of the mon box. I
expect that "hostname" is not returning the hostname.
The mon box was contacting the registry using its ip address rather than
its host name. We added the ip address to the acl and that got round the
problem.

Antony

Port 8088 was never blocked.

I just tried to restart edg-rgma-gin and -servicetool and it worked. I
have no
idea why, since I changed nothing.
rgma test is now successful:
/opt/edg/bin/rgma-client-check
*** Running R-GMA client tests on grid-se001.physik.rwth-aachen.de ***
Checking C API: Done.
Success
Checking C++ API: Success
Checking Python API: Success
Checking Java API: Success
Checking for safe arrival of tuples, please wait... Success
*** R-GMA client test successful ***
Best regards,
Andreas
