Yes thanks, Trims it's helpful. I suppose I was looking out for an alert
notice of 2 or 3 pages or something. one of the problems of being a
sessional GP is that I'm off the NHS system and no longer get cascade
messages and unfortunately the PCTs don't consistently send them to the
co-op.
I looked at the website stiff which is jolly good but sorry to say balked at
the prospect of
translating a 137 page plan into a single page of A4 script for use by OOH
docs to speak to the worried sufferers from pandemic rhinovirus. No calls
tonight about avian flu so maybe the public have more sense than the
newspapers give them credit for.
Love the Operational Guidance. We are saved! Every PCT is to set up an
Infleuza Pandemic Planning Committee. Phew!
Instead I have directed the attention of my brilliant Man In the Office to
the need for a plan for the four OOHOs in Birmingham & Solihull and
meanwhile will adapt the public leaflet (only 2 pages) which says "Don't
panic Mr Mainwaring!". Sadly the public are being led to believe that
everything will be all right because we have the wonder drug and the NHS. Or
maybe it will be all right because the virus won't mutate and we are all
better fed and washed than 90 years ago.
Does anyone remember watching "When the Wind Blows" by Raymond Briggs?

Can't vouch for the quality, but there's a fair bit of stuff here:

I'm sure we had a CMO letter not so long ago?
