Lecturer in Geomatic Engineering
The Department of Geomatic Engineering seeks a committed, dynamic and
self-motivated person to appoint to a newly created lectureship.
The department will consider applications from anyone with proven expertise
in one or more of the following geomatics specialities: geographic
information science (GIS), remote sensing, photogrammetry, geodesy,
engineering surveying and navigation. It is expected that the new lecturer
will have a PhD in geomatic engineering (or a related field) and substantial
postdoctoral research experience in a leading research-led organisation.
He/she must be able to demonstrate the ability to carry out internationally
competitive self-motivated research and will be expected to contribute to
undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the department (especially to the
teaching of highly IT-related subjects), as well as carrying out a number of
the usual general administrative duties that need to be shared amongst
academic staff in a university department.

Lecturer A scale: £23,643 - £27,116 plus £2,330 London Allowance (pending
