WILLIAM SMITH MEETING
The Deep Earth: The structure and evolution of the interior of our planet
23 - 24 November 2005, Burlington House, London
LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER
The meeting will focus on recent advances in our understanding of the structure,
composition and behaviour of the Earth’s mantle and core.
The meeting will appeal to all Earth Scientists, as it will provide a forum in
which the key feature of our planet and its evolution with be reviewed. Specifically
it will be of interest to petrologists, seismologists, mineralogists, geochemists,
geomagnetists, and papers are sought all of these communities.
The 2005 William Smith Lecture will be held from 4-5pm and is FREE TO GeolSoc FELLOWS.
Our 2005 Lecturer is Raymond Jeanloz, Department of Earth & Planetary Science,
University of California, Berkeley.
