Special conference session on hydrogeophysical data fusion
The XVI Computational Methods in Water Resources conference in Copenhagen, June 19-22 2006, will run a special session on hydrogeophysical data fusion. This is a great opportunity to bring together people working on the fusion of multiple geophysical data and subsurface hydrological models. Details of the session can be found at:

The conference traditionally focussed on numerical aspects of groundwater and surface water modelling but in recent years moved towards addressing other aspects such as data assimilation, calibration and uncertainty estimation. I'm hoping that we can attract many of those working in this area to the conference as we will have the potential for much exchange between geophysicists and groundwater modellers. You'll see a list of keynote talks at

Susan Hubbard at Lawrence Berkeley Labs has kindly agreed to present an invited talk on her hydrogeophysical fusion work in our special session.
The deadline for submission of abstracts is 17 October 2005. I realise that this is short notice but I hope that this still gives you enough time to submit an abstract. Papers are not due until 15 March 2006.
I hope you can contribute to the meeting.
Best wishes,
Andrew Binley
