Thanks for the positive feedback and ideas. I'm sure we can take on board
most of the ideas here. I'll spend the next few weeks building the structure
of the site, wiki environemnt, discussion board, front pages, live section,
conferences, journal links, courses etc
My main research area is non-linearity in European cinema with emphasis on
French cinema so I have some ideas about what I may throw about here but
what kind of content are people thinking of in the first instance?
Feel free to email me with any texts/proposals/model pieces/reviews etc to
get us started or just to talk about some ideas etc. In brief, it's meant to
be a collaborative effort and also a way for all of us to build up some
contacts with others working in similar fields.
Possibly going to host it with Xcalibre at www.deepfocus.co.uk. I'll set it
up quickly and then look at sponsoring and recuperating the cash later .I'm
also happy for some people to then administrate as well. At the end of the
day it's going to be your site rather than me just chucking a whole load of
things up which people may/may not be interested in!
Nicola
