Have a look at "Ransom" (1960s, Glenn Ford) and its
remake "Ransom" (1990s, Mel Gibson) about the child of
a wealthy American being abducted. Two aspects are
interesting: The beginning and how it establishes the
genre/narrative. The treatment/representation of the
kidnappers.
