Hi,
This is my first post, I'm a lurker.
Can anyone suggest any good examples of films using artistic processes
which incorporate 'chance' elements?
I.e. William Burroughs Cut-up method or John Cage's use of the I Ching.
I have ordered a VHS copy of 'Thee films', directed by Anthony Balch
and featuring collaborations with Burroughs and Brion Gysin, although
it has not yet arrived.
I'm well versed with Burroughs and Cages influence on contemporary
music and sound art, but how about Film?
Can anyone suggest good writings also?
Thanks
Steve
